The Osborne Headrest
The Osborne Head Support System consists of a headrest mounted on a support stand. A chin piece adds more stability and comfort. Four knobs allow adjustment of the headrest to control precisely the angle of the face piece. The headrest is comfortable, and provides a good airway for tubing and wire mechanisms. Its design eliminates the “closed in” feeling common with other methods of positioning. The Osborne is also available as a 45 degree fixed angle model.
The Duncan Headrest
The Duncan Headrest is a prone head support designed to provide weight-bearing surfaces to the forehead, maxillary area, chin and lateral borders of face. Made of translucent material, this concave support has cutout for the eyes, nose, and mouth. Supported on rocker legs, this headrest has poly-foam padding between the bearing surfaces and plastic. This headrest is available in an Original model or an Improved model, which has double-thick material and a 0.5-inch rubber channel to prevent slippage.
The Hygienic Paper
For best Long-term use of MG head supports, and to protect patients we recommend the use of our custom cut disposable paper covers. This absorbent tissue has been pre-cut to fit all headrests, and may be purchased in a case of 6 boxes (100 sheets per box).
The Replaceable Padding
Replacement polyfoam pads may also be purchased for the Duncan and Osborne Head Supports. These pads are easily detachable and replaceable with ongoing use of the headrests. With open cell foam light is permissible through the pads creating a translucent effect. Replacement pads are sold in boxes of six.
